Freight industry pundits are reporting a boom in air freight from China, which many are attributing to re-stocking the low inventory levels resulting from the recession Freight forwarders are reporting an increase in enquiries and orders, with the result that air freight carriers have been able to increase rates due to high demand and reduced capacity.  Some carriers and logistics providers are warning that the increase is only in freight from China, not from other parts of Asia, and that the boom may not last beyond early December.
