Pirates Confuse Frigate with Freight

Five pirates have been found by an American court and will face lifetime prison sentences.  The pirate crew attacked a USA Navy frigate which was on pirate patrol several hundred miles off the coast of Africa in April.  The pirates thought that they were attacking an innocent freight vessel, and that their attack with assault rifles would allow them to board easily.  The frigate gave chase and took the pirates into custody.
