Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) has announced a significant contract to convert an Airbus A330 passenger aircraft into a freighter configuration. This latest agreement builds upon the company’s growing portfolio of passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversions.
The announcement follows EFW’s February contract signing with China’s Hengqin Winglet Aircraft Technology for A330 P2F conversion services. EFW will undertake the comprehensive conversion work, which involves extensive modifications to transform the passenger aircraft into a dedicated cargo carrier.
This development reflects the continuing strong demand for freighter capacity in the global air cargo market. The A330 P2F programme offers operators a cost-effective solution to expand their cargo fleets, providing excellent payload capacity and operational efficiency.
