A Car Carrier based in Norway has commissioned a shipyard in China to construct an additional 7,000 CEU (car equivalent unit) newbuild vessel, further expanding their maritime transport capabilities.
The state-of-the-art vessel will feature innovative hoistable vehicle decks, enabling the efficient transport of oversized freight including buses, trailers, and construction machinery. This design flexibility positions the carrier to meet growing demand for specialised vehicle logistics across global shipping routes. The investment underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing capacity whilst adapting to diverse cargo requirements in the automotive and heavy machinery sectors.
