Bangladesh’s Shipping and Labour and Employment Adviser, Brigadier General (Retd) Dr M Sakhawat Hussain, has conducted an official inspection of vessels currently under construction at the Jingjiang Nanyang Shipbuilding Co Ltd facilities in China.
The visit forms part of ongoing efforts to monitor the progress of new vessels being built for the Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC). This strategic development underscores Bangladesh’s commitment to expanding its maritime fleet capacity and strengthening its position in international shipping lanes.
The inspection at the Chinese shipyard represents a significant milestone in Bangladesh’s maritime expansion programme, as the country continues to invest in modernising its shipping infrastructure to meet growing trade demands.
