Huaihua International Land Port has seen a substantial increase in freight train trips from January to April this year. The port operated a total of 354 freight train trips, with a notable 140 trips bound for ASEAN countries, transporting 6,976 TEUs. Among these, 115 trips were specifically China-Laos routes, demonstrating a 9% year-on-year growth. This upward trend in freight transport through Huaihua International Land Port highlights the growing importance of this key trade hub in connecting China with its Southeast Asian neighbours.
