Zim, a leading global shipping company, is set to resume its China-Los Angeles service, known as the Zim Central China Xpress, starting next week. This move comes shortly after Zim had announced the suspension of this service as part of a broader 30% to 35% reduction in its trans-Pacific network capacity.
The decision to restart the service is driven by a resurgence in import demand, which Zim aims to capture by reinstating this critical trade route. The Zim Central China Xpress connects key ports in central China with the Port of Los Angeles, facilitating the efficient transportation of goods between these two major markets.
