Major container ports in Mexico are currently experiencing delays as larger vessels call at these facilities. According to freight forwarders, the Asia-Mexico shipping lane is seeing utilisation rates of only around 50% due to a combination of seasonally low demand and uncertainties surrounding tariffs. This has led to congestion and longer waiting times at key Mexican ports, impacting the efficiency of supply chains relying on these routes. RW Freight is closely monitoring the situation and working with its partners to minimise disruptions for its clients during this challenging period.
