The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) has launched FUMES 2 (Fugitive and Unburned Methane Emissions from Ships Part 2), a two-year research initiative aimed at quantifying methane emissions from shippimg fueled by liquefied natural gas (LNG) under real-world conditions.
This study is an expanded follow-up to the original FUMES study and brings together an international consortium of experts. The goal is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the environmental impact of LNG-fueled shipping and contribute to the development of cleaner shipping practices.
