In a significant development for Sino-Afghan relations, the inaugural freight train from China successfully completed its journey to Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan on 23 November 2022.
The train, carrying valuable cargo, travelled through Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan before reaching its final destination. This milestone event underscores China’s concerted efforts to strengthen economic and diplomatic ties with Afghanistan, a country of strategic importance in the region.
