The European Union has just approved a pilotless cargo aircraft, designed to transport freight the size of a delivery van. The manufacturer aims to introduce this drone in 2023, making it the first “cargo drone airline” in the world.
The costs for pilotless cargo drones tend to be 50% lower than competing aircraft. The drone has a 770-pound payload and a 1550-mile range.
The drone can cover the continent of the United States, the diagonal in the Caribbean, the South China Sea, and all of the countries in Europe.
It can cover 2,500 kilometers in one flight and cruise at 20,000 feet.
