Some U.K. freight trains are leaving the country’s biggest container port without a full load. This may be because companies are stockpiling to prepare for Britain’s break with the European Union. Some trains which are usually packed with imports of everything from phones to the latest fashions are departing Felixstowe east of London without a proportion of their consignments.

Heavy volumes and delays have overwhelmed the port’s ability to keep up with container transfers.
