The Chongqing Municipality in the south West of China has launched a special cargo train service to help export businesses affected by the Covid 19 outbreak via its land-sea freight route.
A train transporting 50 containers of sodium carbonate cargo, departed Chongqing Qinzhou in south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region prior to shipping to Bangkok in Thailand.
The new transport service will shorten the procedure of changing containers when cargo are transferred from land to sea. This can save logistics costs and time and reduce damage.
This route is part of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, a trade and logistics route built jointly by provincial regions in the west of China and Singapore.
