Beijing has set an objective of increasing exports of China-made foreign-branded vehicles in the coming years. Domestic car sales are falling and restrictions on overseas firms are being reduced, according to a government report.
Manufacturers such as Ford Motors, GM, BMW and Honda are expected to increase manufacturing in China. The report from the Ministry of Commerce and China Automotive Technology and Research Centre shows new information on the central government’s thinking about an industry which provides one in six jobs in China.
