Exports from China returned to growth in July despite escalating U.S. trade pressure. This was caused by improved global demand, but Washington is preparing to impose even more import tariffs on Chinese goods.

A sharp drop in the yuan currency this week may offer limited assistance for Chinese exporters.

July exports rose 3.3 percent from the previous year, the fastest since March.
