Guangdong Province in China exported goods worth 287.7 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of this year, an increase of 3.9 percent over last year.
Guangdong’s imports, however, fell by 2.5 percent, with the trade surplus widening 18.9 percent year on year.
Exports of mechanical and electrical products in the southern province increased by 2.8 percent year on year, accounting for more than 69 percent of Guangdong’s total exports.
