Shanghai customs officials have said that the first batch of beef imports from Panama has entered China.
The imported beef, weighing 23 tonnes, is one of the products imported due to new bilateral trade agreements between the two countries.
The cargo left Panama on June 22 and was exported to China by sea freight.
Beef is Panama’s second export to China since the two countries established diplomatic ties on June 13, 2017.
