Spain’s fresh fruit and vegetable imports grew in both volume and value terms compared with the same period of 2018.
According to the latest data from Customs, fresh produce imports grew 10 per cent in volume to 569,692 tonnes.
Vegetable imports increased by6 per cent in volume and 32 per cent in value.
A particularly significant growth was seen in potatoes, +5 per cent in volume and +104 per cent in value, and tomatoes with +46 per cent in volume and +36 per cent in value.
