The China Government is now unfolding a protein buying program which will probably be the biggest in the history of US pork exports. This is because of African Swine Fever which has forced pig herd slaughtering in China.
Recently US pork export bookings to China increased by 73,779t, an increase from just 22,674t the previous week;this is the highest weekly pork export volume to China in six years.
China pig prices have jumped 25pc in recent weeks and inflation is on the increase. China is clearing the way for more cold storage space for pork imports.
