In the first month of Spain’s new sales campaign, exports of olive oil from Spain have already reached a new record high.
Olive harvesting was delayed this year because of late ripening and rain. Production was lower, but a large amount was available from earlier harvests, which enabled this positive start.

Exports peaked during the first month and olive oil prices have risen slightly during the last few weeks.
Imports in October were estimated to be around 11,000 tons. Exports totaled 85,000 tons, an increase of 7%.
