THE growth of wine exports from Australia to China is showing signs of slowing down. The value of exports shipped to China in the year to September 30 was $1.06 billion, an increase of 24 per cent on the previous year.

But the growth rate in exports is less than half of what it was in 2017-18, when exports to China, Hong Kong and Macau grew 55 per cent. However, Winemakers Federation of Australia chief executive Tony Battaglene moved to allay concern.
