A China tech company affected and delays for imported U.S. cars, apples, timber and other agricultural products are signs that the widening trade dispute between China and the U.S. is exacting a toll on both sides.
The tech company said that it’s ceasing “major operations” after the U.S. banned it from doing business with American suppliers as punishment for illegal exports.
Businesses and officials also reported that American product imports are running into delays in customs clearance because of increased inspections at Chinese ports, suggesting Beijing may be making life more difficult for U.S. companies.
