A technology company in Cambridge is testing a concept to distribute freight across a town through a network of underground pipelines. The freight will travel in capsules propelled by magnetic levitation.
The technology is already used by the world’s fastest train, the Shanghai Maglev. The project will begin with data gathering on the range and scale of freight movements in Northampton.
