The Freight Transport Association argues that – without additional airport hub capacity in London – additional trucking costs would be around £41.5 million in 2050 with potentially significant effects on freight users.Without additional capacity, the air freight industry and freight customers will suffer.

The FTA is concerned that the Airports Commission has not sufficiently appreciated the issues concerning the freight market.
