A major logistics company has launched an innovative ocean freight shipping service. The system enables double stacking of freight inside shipping containers, through the installation of specialised decks, which are designed to be suspended from the roof of the container. This is of course not the first time such a technique has been utilised in a container or a trailer adapted to carry more freight securely whilst minimising damage, but is still worthy of mention.

Trial movements in April confirmed the security of the decks. With increasing demand for the shipping of electrical products, chemicals, foodstuffs, and motorcycles, the company has now launched this new service on all transport lanes operated across its network.
