Last week the crew of a cargo ship carrying 20 tonnes of cannabis set fire to the vessel. The ship was seen by a French Customs aircraft in international waters near Algeria. This is the third cargo ship carrying a significant amount of cannabis being intercepted in western Mediterranean in the past six months.
