The first six months of the year were challenging for Hong Kong, with container traffic down over 10% over the corresponding period of 2012.  Hong Kong is seeing a structural change in the types of cargo shipped; less transhipment cargo is being handled, less cargo consolidation is taking place, and factories on the Pearl River Delta are gearing production towards domestic and Asian markets.
