The new express freight train from Chengdu in China to Lodz in Poland is more expensive than ocean freight but offers far shorter transit times than the 30 – 49 days by ship. Rates are cheaper than air freight. The service has already attracted some of the biggest names in freight forwarding who use the service for shipping goods in high-value-added sectors.
