Two more ports have been opened in China for direct shipping links to Taiwan. Yantai in eastern Shandong and Shenzhen in southern Guangdong will bring the number of port in China with direct links to 72. In Taiwan, 13 ports have direct shipping links with China. The Chinese government wants to crack down on illegal and unqualified operators in the cross-strait shipping market.
