In Quarter 3 of this year about 558 French haulage and logistics companies declared themselves bankrupt. This is the result of shrinking freight volumes, over-capacity and the growing impact of cabotage. The French Logistics Federation claimed that in 2013 taxes would account for more than 50% of its member firms turnover.
