Exports from Spain rose this year to an all time high of 214 bn euros, according to government statistics. This is an increase of 25% over the past fie years, during which Spain has been said to have lost competitiveness.
Many economic commentators say that companies which make traditional Spanish products using domestic labour should sustain the export growth.
