Although some workers in the freight industry were due to return to work yesterday, the conflict is far from over and unions are still in negotiation with employers. About 20 000 workers in transport and freight stopped working last month demanding a wage increase of 12%.  The Road Freight Employers Association was offering 6%. Unions are considering a day-long secondary strike next week.
