Prospects for the freight industry remain uncertain, but different carriers have adopted different strategies for dealing with this.  The largest container line in the world has ordered the largest ships yet, which are being tested now but will not be used for shipping freight until 2013.

Other shipping lines are consolidating their financial position and trying to make their fleets more efficient.
