A new direct air freight service has been launched from Schipol airport in Amsterdam to Chongqing in China. The cargo service to one of China’s major centres for the production of computers will operate twice a week.  There is a strong demand for consumer imports to this area of China.

There are already a number of destinations in China served directly from Schipol; Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shenzen, Tianjin, Yantai and Chengdu.

Schiphol is the third largest airport for freight in Europe, and accomodates to 21 freighter operators. Passenger and combi carriers also provide services from Schiphol to Hangzhou and Xiamen.
