Jigsaws from Hong Kong for Christmas

A traditional garden centre in Devon was looking for products to add to its impressive selection of leisure and giftware.

When they found some jig-saws from a Hong Kong supplier which they wanted to include in the giftware range, they did not really know how to begin!  An internet search came up with R W Freight, which – as a service-based freight forwarder –  is especially well suited to helping companies who are involved in shipping for the first time.

Operations Director Peter Willis was only too happy to discuss all the aspects of importing from the Far East which were new to this novice importer; terms of trade, documentation, clearances, how to arrange payment and shipping schedules.  He was also able to explain the importance of selecting the most suitable shipment terms when negotiating with suppliers in the Far East.

Once the puzzles were ordered, R W Freight kept the Garden Centre informed of progress and ensured that the documentation was in order and goods cleared through Customs in a timely manner.  Having left Hong Kong on 8 September, the jig-saws were delivered to the shop on 6 October, well in time for the Christmas shopping period.

The customer was delighted and said:

‘I have great pleasure in recommending RW Freight. They were of tremendous help in arranging and processing our first container import from Hong Kong. The service…could not be faulted in any way. It is very rare to get a complete service these days, but this company does it well and should be proud of the service they deliver.’

We look forward to working with the Garden Centre again on their future shipping requirements.  If your company is considering importing giftware or games from China or Hong Kong, don’t hesitate to contact R W Freight.  You will see from this website that we can help you with all your international freight forwarding needs.
