UNCITRAL The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law was set up by the United Nations in 1966 to reduce or remove obstacles to International Trade caused by differences in national laws. UNCITRAL has since become the main legal body of the United Nations in the field of International trade law. Membership is made up of 60 countries selected to be representative of geographic regions and the principal economic and legal systems.
