An Italian shipping line has increased its presence on ferry routes between Italy and Greece with the launch of a new round-trip service linking the ports of Ravenna, Igoumenitsa and Patras later this week in December.
The new ’motorway of the sea’ service, which will carry both ro-ro freight and passengers, started on 19 December and is operated twice-weekly by the Euroferry Olympia vessel which has a loading capacity of up to 200 freight trailers.
Departures from the Italian port of Ravenna are on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
