The newly appointed CEO of government sponsored Skills for Logistics has plans to ‘attract,develop and support’ people and companies in the logistics and freight forwarding industries. This sector employs 8% of the workforce of the UK and will need 588,000 additional workers between 2014 and 2020, and yet freight forwarding is not perceived as a worthwhile career choice.Skills for Logistics are delivering numerous solutions to raise awareness of the opportunities.
