The Freight Transport Association is making available a CO2 emissions sensor, combined with a worldwide tracker to detect human stowaways.
The Freight Transport Association, hopes that the device will help ensure that drivers of freight lorries are not subject to fines of £2000 for each stowaway. Unfortunately these stowaways can cause damage to the freight vehicles and contaminate the export or import cargo, especially if it is a food product.
If the lorry drivers check their own trucks they may put themselves in danger.
