The first ever direct ocean Less than Container Load shipping service between northern Europe and Fiji has been announced.The new service, operating on weekly sailings from Rotterdam to Suva, will slash transit times from 55-60 days to just 36, while eliminating problems commonly experienced with LCL transhipments.
The Rotterdam station will be used to consolidate the Less than Container Load cargo. The freight is then loaded onto the shipping service operating direct into Suva. At 36 days, the transit time is the shortest ever offered; routing cargo via ports such as Singapore can take up to 60 days.
