On the banks of the Canal Albert, construction has begun of a major multimodal logistics hub, which will serve as a gateway to the seaports of Rotterdam, Antwerp and Zeebrugge. It will consist of a 15 hectare container terminal with 1850 metres of quayside, and provision is also being made for a rail freight terminal with 700 metres of track to connect Trilogiport with the national rail network.
