Next month the Calais Premier Logistics Park, a £350 million development, will begin to take shape. Integral to its development is the use of a new technology, which enables most semi-trailers to be switched from truck to train without the use of a crane. The manufacturer claims that this will remove 60% of trucks from Europe’s roads. These developments will have a major impact on freight companies moving goods into Europe from the UK and vice versa.
