The opening port of call for a new dirt Panama shipping service will be Tilbury. The direct weekly service will start on 18 September and will begin and end at Tilbury, which is well placed for forwarding freight shipments to the London and South East area. The terminal handles more than half a million shipping containers per year; the new service will cover 15 markets, from South America to the Baltic and the Black Sea.
