Freight Rates to rise in August

Shipping lines have announced new increases to freight rates and peak season surcharges for the Asia-Europe routes to be implemented inAugust. Although the Freight Index shows that spot rates are falling carriers are announcing surcharges to all cargo originating in Asia ports, including Japan, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh.
