China-Europe freight trains have been able to make more trips due to its security and efficiency.

In 2020, the freight trains made 12,400 journeys and transported 1.14 million twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) of cargo, an increase of 50 percent and 56 percent year on year.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, freight trains continued to operate, loaded with their usual cargo, but also anti-epidemic supplies for European countries.

A driver for the China-Europe freight train said he was proud of his work to deliver anti-epidemic supplies.
The freight train service was able to take on the responsibility of securing the stability of the global supply chain when other transport modes were restricted.
