Since Vietnam opened its borders to foreign freight companies in January this year, local companies have found it more difficult to compete, especially in the international market.

Many global  freight & forwarding were already present in Vietnam, operating as joint ventures or joint stock companies. Vietnamese freight companies are weak compared with foreign firms, and experts have recommended that they should concentrate on Business to Consumer freight services as this is a big growth area.
