One of the major ferry companies in the Nordic area has moved its Nynäshamn ferry terminal to the newly constructed Stockholm Norvik Port.

The terminal will help the shipping line’s expansion plans in the Baltic Sea, which include two new ferries being deployed and 30% additional freight capacity on the Nynäshamn-Ventspils route by 2021.

Recently, the shipping line announced an expansion on the Nynäshamn-Ventspils route with two large modern roll-on / roll-off passenger (RoPax) vessels to be deployed by next year, which will add freight and passenger capacity.

The terminal will provide logistics solutions, with increased capacity and warehouse cross-docking facilities. There will be intermodal connections with the rest of Sweden.
