The international freight transport insurer, TT Club has welcomed the commitment by the group of container shipping lines to develop electronic bills of lading.
The Digital Container Shipping Association represents container shipping lines, which together operate nearly 70% of the world’s capacity. The initiative is consistent with increased trend towards digitisation across the shipping industry. Current pressures felt throughout the supply chain as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic have no doubt encouraged the action.
