Exports from Norway fell sharply in July compared with last year, according to the government Statistics Office in Norway.

Although exports plunged 19.1 percent year-on-year in July, imports increased 8.7 percent. The export figures were affected by in reduction in demand for natural gas.

Exports gained 0.8 percent, while imports dropped 0.6 percent both based on a monthly comparison.
