Air freight volumes through Hong Kong reached a record high in March, with the last week recording an all-time record. The volume of freight in March increased by 30.8% over the previous year, with exports being especially strong.  Imports have also increased, but the airport managers are still wary of being over-confident and are maintaining a watching brief over the world economy.
